The original had wires that were sucked up by the vacuum cleaner and the sensor hit the floor and would not work. The replacement sensor works great and as good as the original. Would highly recommend. This item works fine, and I am reasonably happy with the performance. I am quite upset that the item is not a name-brand Nintendo product. The description says “Nintendo RVL-014″ as if that is the Nintendo part number, but it is an off-brand look-alike. The quality is much lower than the one that came with my Wii. The plastic is noticeably lighter and cheaper. If you look at the box it comes in, they even have a fake Nintendo seal of quality on it (it is the same shape and color but has different words in it), as well as a fake Wii logo (if you look at the logo, the i’s are connected). Clear signs this is not name brand as the description would strongly suggest.
